Muting the drum set

Hey, anyone out there can teach me how to mute the drum set or rather lower down the volume. I just dun want to kana complain by my neighbour.

1) sabian quiet tones.available at sweelee its almost the same as normal heads....need to go thru unscrewing...n tensioning back these quiet tones....very good...quieten alot....same feel i tink...jux some boing sound i tinkk...
2)Mesh heads....diff feel....need to go trhu hassle of untensiong the drums n retensioning....lyk tuning lidat
3)Muffling pads....both swee lee n ranking hav...but swee lee 1 is out of stock....ranking 1 is Lazer brand i tink...
4)stuff clothes inside drums...guranteed 50% volume off....

PS: i suggest Muffling pads though...u so fast buy drumset....haiz

I find it weird they don't make one for the bass drums.. how the hell is one supposed to play softly if you're doing a double pedal run?

actually, no need to spend that much on Sabian quiet tone also can.

throw some foam in your toms, stick thin cardboard rings (DIY diameter size) on the snare and toms, and add thick felt to the front of your bass drum beater. bass drum can be stuffed with soft pillows.

stick some felt under your cymbals, incl hi-hat.

and prob use lighter sticks.

paste blocks of foam on your walls (can act as decoration) if you want.

can't get softer than that. :wink:

hey, i try to stick some rubber pad on to my drum and it lower the volume quite alot...but still the sound can be heard by my neighbour...KNN neighbour give me that type of face sia.

Now 2nd step, how to minimise sound from goin out my room?
