Aside from CityMusic that carry some Line6 and Hartke stuff. Where are the other stores I should check out? I didn't see much in Swee Lee...

cheers.

there are some ibanez/ fender bass amps which are available @ swee lee but have yet to be displayed in-store. quote them specific models & they'll check stock for you.

there are some Marshall bass amps @ Davis as well...

and if you wish for a no-frills, value-for-money range, the Beta Aivin amps @ SV should be considered. we have the BP-20 you see below, in the office, to annoy everyone during lunch breaks. ha!

Yup! Definitely ask us via e-mail and we can check - sorry that we're a bit slow at rearranging our displays!

Alternatively you should check out the Roland bass amp range too that we carry :)

Nice touch that you guys are now joining the forum! Cheers man... I'll check re-check your amps there then! :p

We're trying our best to help out more now! We realise pricing and certain aspects of service may not have been that great in the past :)

Regarding the bass amps - I wouldn't want you to waste your time at the showrooms as we still haven't reorganized that section - perhaps if you drop an email at custsvc@sweelee.com.sg or PM me I can make sure we give you an accurate list of all bass amps we have in our inventory for your budget and then if you're interested in any we'll bring it out for you to try! :)

Fender and Ibanez bass amps? umm... they make great bass guitars. But amps? hmm...... Budget? You're buying for yourself or for your church?

Some places that you can actually check out bass amps:

Davis: Besides Marshall, they actually also carry ampeg and markbass. Check out any concert of any major band, 8/10 the bassist is using an ampeg bass amp. Markbass is more well known for their compact heads and lightweight neodynium cabs. I Bought the micro vr for use in my church.

Woodworkz: They carry gallen kreuger amps. They are another well known bass brand. They are also very highly regarded among basists. For the budget concious they have the backline series of amps.

Yamaha: Carries orange bass amps. They have the 500w bass terror or for home use orange crush series. I own the orange crush for home use.

BGW: They carry Genz Benz bass amps. Also highly regarded for its sound and portability. Check out the shuttle series.
There are som many great options for you to choose from. Dont settle for 2nd rate.

Thanks a lot bro.. I took note all these. Yes, this is for our Church... So at least 100w and has di output or line output is a plus.. Im thinking $600 for the budget.

Umm try to get a budget of $1000-$1500. You can get some really good stuff at that range. Just get something good the first time. Ask some of your musicians to help contribute? Problem with church is that once you're committed to getting something, you're pretty much stuck with it till it breaks. Good luck convincing the board for upgrades. Unless of course you're paying for the item with your own cash which i did. That way you can get anything that you want whenever you want. I can tell you my experience if you want, that'll be over pm of course.

Usually church cannot get second hand, need a receipt for the accounts side to work with..
So I missed out on many awesome deals.

Fender & Ibanez have some very good offerings in their catalogues, they aren't the difinite go-to models so they are not on everyone's lips when it comes to bass amplification, more of a cult-followers' reference.

i managed to try the Promethean P500 & it's a superb performer for the money.
