music stand

i was just wondering if there was anyone out there that has used a music stand and could tell me your experience while using it

i kinda need it for my project and even your slightest comment will do me a great favour

okay i use it all the time during my performances because i need to read the scores while i play due to the fact that we have ever changing repertoire and the shows keep coming. i memorise the song if i can but other than that i will use it while im playing. as a drummer the disadvantage that i face would be the lack of showmanship as your head is contantly fixed in the direction of your music stand depending on where you place it. also if it is an outdoor show i would want my music stand to have clips so that the scores do not fly off or the page doesn't turn when i don't want it to. you also dont want it do be in the way while you are playing. i would put it somewhere where i dont want to be hitting it accidently or its in the way of the instrument that i want to hit. i can,t say anything more at the moment because its about a music stand but if you have any more questions feel free to PM me or reply to the thread. cheers

Well. I use a music stand to put music scores, pencils, sweets, picks, hair gel once even, etc...
A music stand is very useful.
