Any prog rockers/metalheads or DT fans got to catch Dream Theater Live (from the latest DVD) on MTV last night?

M T V . lols. Thing is, there's a good and bad abt this.

Yea i saw Forsaken a few days ago...I was like wtf?! DT on MTV Asia?
Happy but surprised!

Well I am not that suprised though as I saw Hollow Years' music video was played at MTV Asia back in 1998...

DT is finally getting the "mainstream" success that they have been craving ever since the band was formed. As a big fan, I'm more than happy for them, however I do hope that they don't compromise on the quality of their music making.

Of which I mean they change the way they write their new materials. The "following/copying their current influences" formula is getting kinda stale and is making them sound more like a cover band IMO...

Time to let Myung and Labrie contribute more to the lyrical aspects and to ease of Portnoy's "personal vision" of the band...

I doubt DT would compromise their music making.

Each individual in DT are brilliant in what they do and pieced together,they are fantastic.JP on guitars.JM on Bass.JL on Vocal.JR on Keys and MP on drums.

"The Dark Eternal Nights" got me hooked on the band.I know its too recent and too late to like them but awesome band.
