Hi, I've recently bought a practice pad but its quite noisy i would like a silent one for practice. Any of u noes which type of pads are very quiet? HQ? Are they expensive?

Which one did you get? My guess is you bought the Remo one, which is probably the loudest among all the practice pads. The HQ one is much quieter, as well as the Epads. HQ is available at Yamaha and is cheaper than the Epads (available Drum Resources).
Don't just look at the prices though. Each has its plus points. The HQ pads offer more bounce, while the Epads can train your endurance more. I personally love the Epad with the leg strap-on the most. Can practice anywhere and everywhere!

I like my HQ pad.
But, do take note that all of them arn't completely 100% absolutely quiet. Much softer than drums, like the sound of hitting on pillows, but there's still a small sound. The HQ pad can annoy other people in the room (as proven when I brought mine to camp and practiced) but it's relatively really quiet.
