Modding Vox wah

Has anyone modded their vox wah? I am refering to the new made in china one. It seems they use smd components. I saw this website http://arjinted.blogspot.com/2009/01/vox-v847-reissue-mods-part-1.html and i was wondering whether i shld do it myself or send to a professional to do it. Thanks

Havent done this Vox before but I think it boils down to how confident you are in performing the mod, if you can remove some of those smd components without damaging the rest. It doesnt seem to be too bad to do it yourself if you have a fine tipped soldering iron.

Yea i damn scared i burn the whole board lol. Do you know anyone who can do it for me?

its tricky,and i wont recommend it unless you are really good with a soldering iron.if you like,you can go ask goose to make you a custom wah pcb that would sound awesome
not tht pricey too
