Microphones from XLR to Mini-Jacks

tried searching around for a thread on this but didn't see any. anyone has experience with using mics with a XLR-to-mini-jack adaptor? recently saw this thingy being mentioned in a thread at homerecording.com. i was wondering if i could buy such an adaptor and do recording direct to my pc(mic direct into the pink input) with a SM57 i borrowed from a friend.

Well.... you can try to find in Sim Lim Tower. A direct XLR -> mini stereo is lot harder to find.

mcuosver : the caveman connection would be XLR > XLRto1/4"TRS > 1/4"TRSto1/8".
but having 2 adapters in between will cause one hell of an unstable connection.

so you might wanna consider going to simlim tower to custom make an XLR>1/8 directly or XLR>1/4" at least then put on an adapter.
