Mic stands.

hey softies,

i need some help,anyone know where can i get a mic stand that is able to support my Samson C01u mic?
a brandless one is fine.
Budget about 20 to 40?
Help is very much appreciated

you need a floor stand? You need one with arm or just straight stand?
K&M stands ok with you? You should be able to get them btw approx 35 - 50bucks @ Hung Brothers in sim lim 3rd floor.

Hi u can bring down ur mic and holder to try them out. I believe both of
Them are fine. Juz a matter of boom or straight.

Hi Rendezvous, I believe both are fine. Just your choice btw straight and boom stand.
Both are 3 legged tripod type anyway.

there's 2 kinds of thread size in general ,one small one one "big" one.

Either one can. Tried. But of course as prices go higher, the stand will be heavier.
Bring down the mic and holder and try it if worry. But they have microphones tt is about the size/
Weight of your mic to try.

Hi,
oh yah. 2 thread types. But so far most mic holders/ shock mount comes in 5/8" thread female. If you see a smaller 3/8" size thread, there could be a thread adapter screwed on it. just unscrew it accordingly to the mic stand thread size. So far, for micorphone stands these 2 are the common sizes.

Oh yah. Mic stands i believe you can click on the Music store link and take down some address and visit them when you are ready.

Ranking Sports and Music is another option for mic stands. Sim is still a good place to buy. I bought mine from this shop on level one with the big JVC logo. Got a Senheisser boom stand which is pretty good for its price. Not sure if it would hold your heavy mic though.
