recently i wanted to do recording on my computer, i've already download the software, but when i pluck in my mic and record, nothing comes out. is there something wrong with my computer or my mic? i've unmute the mic but still cant get it...

someone help...

maybe the settings got problem...

did u click under advanced options for mics <+20dB boost>?

is ur primary recording source from mic? (might be from line-in, ect...)

1. what mic you using?
2. where did you plug it to? red, green or blue input of the sound card.
3. what software you using?

you might wanna check in your Windows sound control panel if you have selected Record to be Mic-in.

also, check the software's recording option and make sure it is Mic-in.

i am using audacity...
i am using those normal computer mic..
i have set the setting into line-in...
and check the control panel already..
still cannot....

oki, make sure you plug it into the Red input at the soundcard and set the Recording to be Mic In.

* you know where is the Windows Sound Mixer? You see at the bottom right of your screen, there's an icon like a speaker? Double click on it.

Options -> Properties -> Recording -> Check Microphone -> Click OK

When the mixer appears, Click the Select for Microphone.

U can try plug in pink. Pink is mic input of the soundcard behind your CPU. I guess if u plug in in front your CPU might not be work because sometime when u bought the CPU especially those DIY one, they bever help u install internally. So try behind and see the result how 1st. :)
