Metallic sound when doing hammer-on

Hey guys,

Wonder if any of you has encountered this problem with hammer-on.
Basically, while all of the guitars I heard on the net sounds wonder with the hammer-on,
mine gives some clink-ding noise on the fret in addition to the tone.

Is there anyway to resolve or minimize this problem?
It's annoying to some extent since I'm learning Drifting now and those noise
just seem to make the entire piece lose its flavor.

Yup I think that might be what it's called, it like two different note sounded from one fret.

does it happen only at certain frets? or everywhere?

If everywhere means your technique is likely wrong

If on certain frets, you most likely need to send your guitar for a setup
