Hello! My name is Steve, I'm 21, Irish, and will be moving to Singapore in January to do my PhD in NUS. I'd like to get involved with some bands while I'm in Singapore.
I'd really like to either play keys. I've been teaching myself for about 10 years. I can take a lead role (similar to Children of Bodom), provide background ambiance (with strings, synth etc) or both!
If nobody will be needing a key player, I'd like to try vocals. I can do any clean vocals, preferably power metal (something like Sabaton maybe?), though I have never received lessons. I'm going to try and take lessons once I'm in Singapore.
Lastly, I have been drumming for about 7 years. However, I am out of practice - I haven't played a lot in the past year because I had to focus on college stuff. That said, I know drummers tend to be pretty rare (at least they are in Ireland), so I am willing to practice more and get back to my old self if a band really needed a drummer. I used to be able to play stuff like Amon Amarth, Dimmu Borgir etc., so with a bit of practice and patience I could hopefully get back to that level.
