L lars_ulrich New member Dec 29, 2004 #2 well the 5 piece drumset means the drumset has 5 drums, excluding cymbals. it usually consists of a bass drum, a snare drum, 2 rack toms and 1 floor tom. a 6 piece drumset will probably have an extra tom.
