it's a 15W practice amp, a decent entry-level unit. expect nothing fantastic. best supplemented with pedals 8) it's available at Davis/ Luther also.

by the way i just sold off my MG15 mini stack... would have sold it to you...

The CD input is to allow you to connect to a CD player so that you can play along with your fave song on your CD.

hmm so i hear my guitar sounds from my speaker?

That's right. You can hear your own playing together with the CD.

I always make use of this function of the amp to practice with songs if you know the chords. Or to practice some solos.

how much does CDR15 cost?

Hmm i am starting to feel this is an average amp. Is there something of higher standard than this amp?

The Marshall CDR15 cost between $160 and $200, depending on where you buy it from. The cheapest price is from Ranking Sports at Bras Basah Complex.

Of course there are better amps. Are you looking for just a pracrice amp or something more higher end? It all depends on your budget and what you want to achieve with the amp.

hmmm if i save up to $400 what can i get? Something that i can use at home and live. Or am i thinking too much

For $400, you can an amp of about 40W-50W or thereabouts which should be ample for home and adequate for live gigs. There are many brands, so the best way is to go to Swee Lee, Luther, Davis, City Music or any of the popular music shops and try out an amp that suits you best. You can't go wrong with the major brands, such as Marshall, Fender, Ibanez, Crate, Laney or even Vox.

Peace Centre, Level 2. At 11.00 o'clock position as you come up the escalator.

I hope you do know where Peace Centre is ( along Selegie Road, near the Middle Road junction).

Actually it depends. For live situation, you'll need to know how many people or how huge the auditorium or location is. You can always mike up a small amp though.

Seriously, go used. You might find a decent tube amp.

i dunno where is that  will it take long with MRT? i am staying at buono vista area.

Take the MRT to Dhoby Ghuat station. Walk towards Selegie Road where you pass the old Cathay Cinema (now under renovation). Walk along Selegie Road where you'll pass Paradiz Centre and Parklane Mall (where Guitar Gallery and Sinamex are located in this building). Keep on walking until you reach the the next traffic junction where you'll see Middle Road and Sophia Road meet Selegie Road. Peace Centre is on your left. There is a StanChart bank on the ground level.

If lost, just ask around. Everyone who you meet on Selegie Road should be able to direct you there.
