timex , so do you have the 18watt amp now ?
whats your opinion on it
?

Actually this is my side project as well. I was studying the feasibility to market these kits. It's a bit tough, and I am still in the process of analysing.

I think Timex one is the AX84 (5watt) kit.

I had 2 kits in already, the KTM45 and the 18watter (with vibrato circuit). The JTM45 I have built already and yeah, it's in the boutique class kind of amp. The tone is really great. This I have consigned out and I believe should be at the home of a happy owner now.

The 18watter I have actually not have the time yet to build it up. So the parts are still in parts.

You must bear in mind that these are kits, without cabinet. So the completed amp will have the innards exposed. You are suppose to get a cabinet or build one for it. That's why it's called a kit. Even a built kit.

I must say that these kits are not for amatuers to DIY without supervision. You need experience and skill to put the whole amp together properly.

Anyone need any help with this, just PM me.

No man. I did not have a 18 W cause it was out of my budget.I use to have a hi octane 5 watt. I was a good learning experience even though i messed it up somewat via self assembly. The guy i sold it to could not believe that it was only 5 watts because it was bloody loud.

The most dificult part of this project was finding the speakers cause its not everyday that u have a Jensen / Celestion going on Luther's.

The real fun part of this is to make the amp and cab look nice i.e. comestic enhancements.
