erm...guys,i create this new thread for you to tell others about your exp with maestro guitar,be it good or bad [well mine is damn good] so other people can refer to this thread if they're like 'can i trust them with my guitar?will they do funny2 things with it?'

ok,here's my review:

went there on wednesday or thurs[forgot],dropped my bass at maestro esplanade for nut replacement...if i remembered correctly,kc called me on friday to reconfirm and whether there's anything else that i wanna add
then he say that i can collect my bass on monday, that's quite fast yeah...
today [monday] he msg me at 4:46 telling me that he'll drop my bass at excelsior, then i asked 'is it possible to drop it at esplanade?'
'sure. you can pick it up around 6' he replied
i reached there around 5 50 and the bass is there, tried to check it and it was great, the action is comfy...everything's sweet
and like 15 mins after i got the bass,kc msg me to check whether the bass is up to my liking...
geez, these guys do really care for their cust [and their reputation too of course  ]

damage: $40[nut]+$40[full setup, after having conv with kc on the phone, decided to do setup as well]

i would rate them as very good,in terms of service and work done...cheers!

ps: their rate is damn reasonable to me

Hi Reyner,

Thanks for the glorious review. We base our rates on per hour basis. 50-70 an hour is the rate. For a guitar nut, it takes a longer time to do it, so it costs more. We don't charge by 'feel' or by how 'tough' the job is, so our pricing is transparent that way. For e.g a refret is 250-300 and we take round 4-5 hours to do it so you can see how we formulate our rates.

regards,
KC

Hi there

I had my ibanez done up by Kaycee. The guitar was send last Friday and had it done today.

The main repairs are intonation, action , thrust rod adjustment and fret-levelling.

Totally blown over with quality of work. The guitar played beautifully. Pocket damage is quite minimal...abt $120.
Been playing the guitar for the last two hours....really love it!!!!!

Workmanship is on par with Malcolm's except for price (more pricey for Malcolm's) and care of guitar. Malcolm is a bit more careful....there's a dented/chip wood in the neck slot for thrust rod adjustment after it's back from repair.

For budget but quality / pro set-up ...go for Kaycee. Other than the flaw mentioned above , I'm satisfied wif the repair.
