Low E poppin' out of the nut...?!

my low e string keeps poppin' out of the nut when i play it...wat can i do 'bout it?

(is changin' the nut the only solution..?)

you must be using a thick guage, file the nut just exactly so it fits...

do u happen to have a stringtree? is it straight? as in parallel to the nut, so that the string is almost straight all the way (aside from being held down by the stringtree ) from bridge to the tuner?

send it to a shop to do it, safest way, unless you have the clippy thingy to pull the nut out, then place the nut in and hammer it on a wooden block

well I only know about FR-type nuts. They only cost about 10 bucks at Davis.
