looking for motif xs8... help needed!!!

Hi..
I am ramit,a student of music,living in India. i am planning to visit singapore soon and i was interested in buying the new yamaha motif xs8 synth..(not released in india as yet). i searched the net but couldnt find any valid info, so please if u all can help me in searching for it...
like actual info that if it is available in singapore and for how much...
if yes then which shop(add and ph nos) so i can book mine before coming to singapore...
any help will be appriciated,

you can get it from Music Plaza at Plaza Singapura. the website is http://www.yamaha.com.sg ; we're still waiting for their online store to open. go to that website and look for contact information. you should email them with your inquiries. I estimate that the X8 would cost more than S$5000, maybe even above 6000.

thats why i am wondering why would u sell your xs7 at 3.7 hmmmms.

4k only? while XS6 is going for 3.5+k. just saw it a few days ago at Thomson yamaha.

yes my friend brought it for close to 4k. before gst hype .

even if up gst by 2 percent also 4.2 luh or around there.

so i was shock when jazzfish decided to sell of his xs7 at 3.7?? -.- but anyway. iansoh 3.5 might be the full retail price if you got the yamaha membership card which is free and everyone can apply for it, its cheaper i guess. so you should check it up.

anyway i am not being biased here, but xs is still vulenrable to the x8 in some ways.

well i still heaven seen a workhorse able to be called up as a plug in in a DAW wonder if xs is able to do so . hmmmms....

x8 at swee lee would still have cost more, well swee lee might not want to lower its price for x8 though, i wonder if they still bring in any of that though. sweetwater might be a cheaper source for getting the x8 at its original price.

aiyo zenguan.. i said retails for 4.8k BEFORE LESS

meaning retail price is 4.8k how much discount you get fr YMC or sale price or anything else is variable

XS7 retails for 4.2k before less

XS6 retails for 3.6k before less

if you want I can take pictures ofthe price tags of the retail prices

or maybe you can do it and share with us the good news

anyway you wanted to trade your fantom x8 with my new xs7 and asked me to top up 500 extra when you are selling it fr 2800. I tot it should be the other way round unless of course you are suggesting that I sell my XS7 at 2300 region(gasp) ha ha

I have been offering 3499 actually there must have been a typo. If so apologies for confusion

In any case, I'm spending more time with the XS and it's been fun.

there is YMC which is the member price you can get 10% off combo items

if you are ayamaha student you get 3% extra which is 13% off

XS8 retails at 4800 hence if your fren is a student, he/she will get it for 4176

otherwise, the public can get i for 4320

ifthere is a midyear/end year sale maybe less.

but make no mistake the XS8 retails(retail price) is 4800 plusminus

she only got the 10 percent off. seriously please do go and check before you start posting here. its like you are telling me i am not first hand about it. even my mum ask and she got the same quote -.-?

okay but that was before the gst hype. so if xs8 were really to be retail at 4300 and not 4800 that you had just mention what do you think xs7 price would be?

so is it realistic that you are selling your xs7 for 3700? haha of course you are the seller but you would had the say. but if i am a buyer why would i go for a second hand xs7 for 3700 when i can get a brand new for about the same price? some even lower.

3499 and 3799 is way too big a confusion? i remember i text you back about your price and you said nothing about it? is that a mistake then? and you were saying you only accept cash trades?

well anyway let this arguement stop here. both boards are great whatever the price is. and in singapore its one of the cheapest place you can get the xs8 for in fact seriously the lowest it can goes.
