Looking for intermediate / dynamic musicians

Hi

Looking to form a fun band of intermediate level musicians who aspire to improve and play dynamically (ie. by ear, solo, intermediate to advanced level chords among others) eventually.

Not looking for the perfect musician but those with a desire to improve, with a view to express themselves by playing a wide range of music genres (covers) using their own style ultimately. Meaning you're willing to play anything and everything as long as the music works!

Join us if you:
1) have deep desire to improve your musicianship
2) want to be playing complex but beautiful chords
3) want to express yourself by soloing on your instrument. This could be your practice platform.
4) derive satisfaction from learning new notes/chords/styles off existing songs.
5) desire to play "live" dynamically but under a music director (as with live concert musicians).
6) believe good musicians should be able to execute anything and everything eventually.
7) are looking to exchange musical ideas with other band members.
8) unafraid to try/play new things/notes

All instruments welcome: pop piano, keys 2, bass, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, drums, brass instruments, vocals.

Music to be played dynamically:
Mainly pop rock covers (English, mando, canto, korean, Japanese etc.)
Some semi jazz, jazz, blues, metal, etc.
In short anything most people can relate to that will help improve band member's musicianship.

Music director will also help and guide.
If the band's playing can be commercialised, will look to market this band as a live band in the future as well.

PM us if interested.

Further details on the fun band:

Again, not looking for perfect musicians/vocalists but those who want to improve.

We strive to try everything. There will be opportunities for all instruments to improvise. While we respect the original record in its commercialized form, we also believe all music can be improvised.

There will be ample opportunities for everyone to learn different things. Coverage is not limited to:
Drums - swing, 5/4, 6/8, bossa nova, disco, samba, shuffle etc. apart from conventional rhythms
Bass - slap, walk, pluck, funk, R&B, bass hooks (ie Bille Jean) etc.
Brass - big band, fill ins, instrument solos, brass intro (ie YMCA) and out throw etc.
Guitars - reggae, skanking, use of blues driver, wah, overdrive etc.
Keys - organ, string lines, synth, pop piano styles etc.
Vocals - chest voice, head voice, country, jazz, going through different styles of singers etc.
Band dynamics - arrangement, power chords, transposition, turnaround, 1-5 chord progressions etc.

We're gonna make playing more fun. Drop us a PM if keen.
