hey guys i have been playing drums for over a year now and im looking for a yamaha/tama/pear/mapex drumset. my budget is about $2500. any recommendations? i really need help.

i think a yamaha stage custom would be good. its around 1.8k and its shell is birch. should be able to last you awhile i guess.

but i heard they dont have cymbals along with it how much does good cymbals cost? 1 crash 1 splash,1 ride, 1 highhat? sabian ziljian will be ok

they have zildjian cymbals sets in yamaha going for around 700. and a 13" K custom hybrid hi-hat cost around 600. that all i know.
its best if you go down to yamaha at plaza sing and check them out.

you talking about stage custom? yea i know but i think together with the cymbals will overshoot my price range...
It depends on what kind of cymbals you're looking at. If you're looking at the high end B20 cymbals, be prepared to set aside at least 1K for a standard pair of hats, crash and a ride. It could even cost you more depending on the brand and range you're interested in! If you're planning to gig with your equipment, i would suggest just getting an intermediate kit which is solely for home practicing purpose since you can't exactly bring your kit out to studios or live venues. Invest in your snares and cymbals which you will be able to bring to studios for jamming/recording and for playing live.
Why not check out the classified section? You can definitely get an okay kit with plenty of cymbals with your price budget!

IMO, u can get a low to mid range set, ard 1.2k or less for 1st hand.the rest i suggest investing in good cymbals,heads and pedals.hardware and thronedont have to be branded or expensive.the leftover sum could probably be used to invest in muffling ur drums or ur room. 2.5k should be enough
what u can get is a Gretsch Black Hawk, or a Pearl Forum, or Yamaha Gigmaker, decent prices, for the sound quality, Gretsch Black Hawk can buy from luther music, as well as ranking. Pearl Forum, can buy from Swee Lee as well as ranking. Gigmaker can buy from luther music and yamaha.
For cymbals, i suggest the Zildjian ZBT set which is selling for $490 at luther music, or the ZHT pro set from luther also, $550, both sets come with the hi-hats, crash, and ride, for the splash im not too sure though. Hope it helps
