Looking for a Cheap Bass - for social work

I am an active youth worker. Currently, I am working with a youth (16 years old) and he is born blind. He has been learning acoustic guitar for the past 1 year, and has been showing remarkable improvement because he has been born with a really really good hearing.

The boy recently expressed great interest in picking up a bass after learning it at a crash course for 4 weeks. Its seem much easier for him due to his perfect hearing.

I am currently sourcing for a few donors to buy him a second hand bass, so that he can start practicing at home. We will also provide the boy with suitable platform to perform with a band and boost his self confidence.

If you happened to have a average 4 string bass, selling at a cheap price, please respond to this thread.
