look at this snare fill

it's not a difficult fill ,

it starts with 5 single stroke , with ONE beginning at the left tom .

so , it's RLRLR , but with the first R on the left tom .

then it goes for another 5 single stroke roll on the snare , then to a 4 , RLRL .

so it's .. (R)LRLR , RLRLR , RLRL , *crash* , continue .

(R) = left tom .

would recommend you to hold your drumsticks when watching videos like that , and keep repeating the area where you're unsure of , you'll get it . try to air drum along with it .

Here:

the phrase is 4 bars and you play this at the 4th bar

1ena2 na en 4ena

RLRLR RL RL RLRL

1 is Tom and bass drum play on 1234. Right after your 4ena notes on snare end with crash. That will be exactly how he did it.

You can add half opened hihat on the empty parts and still alternate your sticking or try something else too. Example:

Alternate even when playing the hihat
1ena2ena3ena4ena
RLRLRHRLHLRHRLRL
