Local gigs I shouldnt miss while in Singapore..

Heya, I'm in Singapore on holiday for the next 2/3 weeks from South Africa.
Was wondering if anyone could point out some local gigs that i shouldnt miss. Would love to see what the scene is like here, and see another side of Singapore, not just what they have for tourists! mostly interested in punk/hardcore/metal but willing to check out anything new..

welcome to singapore! there's a whole slew of shows to check out - this forum is a good example.

you also should check out Channel 5 on TV tomorrow evening at 8.30pm - we have a programme called Live 'n' Loaded that exclusively features Singapore English-language musicians and artistes performing mostly original material. Varying genres - but i think you'll like this week's lineup. Its only running for 10 episodes, and this is the 2nd episode already so don't miss this historic event!

you might wanna see Dorian Roach & The Cruzers at Crazy Elephant in Clark Quay... they are playing there on the 5th of February. Amazing band!!
