local custom guitar makers?

does anyone know of any decent guitar makers around? i want to make a custom guitar, already have all the parts in mind.

Malcolm's our only local luthier I think, not sure if he makes electrics but his acoustics look really nice. The nearest electric guitar luthier I can think off is NNG in Thailand.

Hi Bro, what kind of guitar are you looking at? One with set neck like lespaul or PRS styled or one with 'plug n play' strat, superstrat styled? strat/superstrat styled is very easy to custom. $300 to start a simple strat. $600 can easily build a very decent strat that plays like a thousand dollars. Double that and you can be looking at exotic wood bodies w birdseye or flamed maple necks, active pickups. etc.

Of course, if you're looking at neck thrus or set necks, that maybe a lot more difficult and costly.
