Live N' Loaded 11pm 20Feb2009 - Allura rhythm broke his string?

I watched Live N' Loaded yesterday. At the last part I saw the rhythm guitar of Allura broke his string. Is that suppose to be a performance? Or is it that he is changing string at that time? Or he really did break it? I hope I am not seeing things... But whatever is the case, broke it or not, the rhythm guitar sound was a bit off.

Well accidents do happen.

P.S this thread have no intentions of flaming, offencing, and disturbing Allura in anyway. Its just out of curiousity. I love that band.. :D

Sheesh. It does say a lot about this forum if someone has to go to such lengths to qualify his statements

Hi vinalog, yup, the low E string broke in the middle of Ladeda and Aaron was ripping it off. The string snapped and lashed his right hand. So he played the last 2 songs with a bleeding right hand. That's why he's brutal like death metal.

Yeah, the remaining strings were like slightly outta tune, due to the sudden loss of tension. Once the new tune 'Loose Change' is up on the LnL website, you can see Aaron tuning his guitar and playing the rest of the song.

Yeah, accidents happen... but the show must still go on.

Well, not everyone's like bro milkmesto bro eh... There was a show which VR played for me. His SG string snapped during the first verse. He managed to remove that string, restring a new one and tuned that offending string while singing back-up. He managed to get the guitar back in for the outro guitar solo.

Dude, you should make that part of your regular stage show.

bro u exaggerate la bro where got so fierce one.

IIRC, that was for the MDA showcase at Hard Rock Cafe... the string on one of my guitars snapped during the 2nd verse so i stopped playing, unplugged and zipped to the back of the stage and swapped for my tele. i did a quick retune whilst singing backup to the chorus and was ready to rock by the bridge. no biggie, i've been retuning and singing for years now. the more ultimate level one is jon chan (plain sunset), who can retune his guitar in the middle of a song without skipping a beat... when he's just playing acoustic by himself. now *that's* mad skillz.

but FWIW i prefer your version of the events. ha!

Aaron is too brutal same for his explorer..WAHAHAHA but nice show on Live N Loaded:D,watched it on Tuesday at mediacorp.

breaking a string on stage is just bad luck.
breaking a string and bloodying your finger in the process, is hardcore.
breaking a string, bloodying your finger and STILL continuing playing is so death metal yo.

i was hoping the blood was gonna dramatically splatter all over the camera or something.
too bad it didn't happen thou, or else aaron's street cred would have upped 666 brutality points.

but oh well, the poor boy's nursing his fingers now.

I hope all that sweatiness and manly perspiration smell will help him impress some chicks!

But he needs to grow back that floppy quasi-Aaron Kwok hair back lah.
