just happened to stumble upon this. pretty cool to have such a thing around. don't have to search high and low on google for specs of specific discontinued models. this would definitely aid us when looking for 2nd hand Schecters.

if only other guitar companies would do the same. however realistically speaking, there is no point in having an archive when you want people to buy your latest products instead of targeting the used discontinued ones. agreed?

some of us would expedite the acquisition of the discontinued models because those are the guitars we really want. in this case, the list would be useful. dealers can also use this list to help clear old stock at more attractive prices- not all dealers are doing this. they are oblivious to whatever's extinct & still in production so the discontinued models continue to rot in store.

I guess when your store gets too big and you are bringing in more brands, it just becomes a hassle to keep track of such things even if it's for the sake of being competitive. As long as the item is above their cost price, just clear. someone will take the hook.

the store being too big is poor excuse for keeping up especially when there are others prompting the store people (politely of course) the way.

From Schecter's website, the official distributor for Singapore is:

MusicTalk
Wcega Plaza ,#07-40, No.1 Bukit Batok Cresent, Singapore 658064
65-6334-3719

So, do G77 and Davis order directly from Schecter? Or, do they order from this MusicTalk (unheard of) ?

Can we order any Schecter models from Davis? Will Davis entertain? How much deposit (%) must we pay?

Thanks sub, since you ordered before, i thought it'll be good to hear from you.

that's right, i got my Schecter from Davis. it's definitely not a model available off-the-shelf, told Davis what i wanted + 50% deposit & waited for it to arrive.

Agreed that is a poor excuse but I noticed most big stores just can't be bothered. Maybe because they don't see big profits by doing so? man, it sure is tough being in the service industry knowing that there are so many people to please :( .

it's not about pleasing others but knowing the job scope. in this case, the business scope. no shops are subservient to customer expectations, they can invest in their goodwill by listening & considering customer inputs, no obligations of course. elsewhere, shops are forging good customer relations- this is one of the ways. maybe elsewhere, the business philosophy is different.
