I own the Spider III 75 version of this amp. It does take pedals well, but of course, dirt pedals with a dirty channel is a big no, unless you got the channel's gain down and you're using a TubeScreamer or Fuzz (something not too heavy). For me, when I use dirt pedals, it will be on the clean channel, and if use the dirty channel, the dirt pedal is disengaged.
If you're living in an HDB flat, might just get too loud, which is why mine is currently on sale. Looking to downgrade to a smaller amp, hopefully the 15w or 30w Spider III or Spider IV.
Never played on any amp this addictive, I should say.
My verdict on this amp - Superb.
