Line6 spider III 15 vs Sound Drive SG-15

Hi,
Following link provided by mcuosver to citymusic, saw that line6 spider III 15 price is now $155 - almost same as SoundDrive SG-15.

How does the spider III compare with the SG-15? The spider III specs says "modelling amp". Does this give it an advantage over the SG-15?

they are both different thing

Spider Modelling Amp = emulate / copy using technology to make the sound characteristic of those famous amp.

SG 15 = solid state, they are made to sound like "itself"

which is nicer sounding you need to go and ask the shop keeper or you yourself test it.

i.e touchscreen handphone vs qwerty keypad handphone, both are made to achieve dialing/scrolling/browsing of your handphone in a different way, its your choice.

Thanks for replying. I think I get what you mean. SG must be compared to other amps without effects. Spider III must be compared to other amps with built-in effects.
