Which is better in your opinion? im going to buy one soon but im not sure , i play mostly pop, rock and metal.

and also i was going to get the g9.2tt but then i play bass too, and only the x3live support both bass and guitar. So i was wondering if i should get a g9.2tt and bass pedals or just get the x3live?

thanks all who answered:)

Dude, seriously, go down to City Music and do just that. Make the decision based on your experience, not that ofothers. If others told you that shit tasted good and you should eat it, would you do so?

if those were normal guitar effects pedal, yeah sure i will. it may take half, an hour tops to tweak and and compare, but this is a multi effects board, i cant be seating there going thru every single thing example comparing their distortion blah blah, cos i dont have the time to do so.

youre right saying i should make the decision based on my own experience, if i could i would go down, but i really cant and i dont wanna make a rash decision and ending up not liking what i bought, thats why i came here to ask my fellow more experienced softies who own either of the multi effects board to help me out on this.

Relax dood, he's just asking for other people's opinions as well so that he can make a better decision.

Anyway, back to TS, my humble opinion will be to go for the X3Live. I feel that the patches in the X3 suit my taste better (and I play quite a fair bit of Alternative Rock) and that it's perfect for solo artists who wish to play and record guitar, bass, and vocals.

But that said, your taste may differ from mine, and dodgethis is also right. You would have to try to head down to the shop to give it a first-hand experience, as tone is subjective.

Look for the salesman named Cleve - he's a patient guy and he won't mind helping you decide what you want

I'd go with the X3 Live, i do believe it sounds more 'authentic' that the Zoom, and the drive patches are also much better IMHO. I didn't find the Zoom to be as user-friendly either. Add in the fact that you can plug in your bass, which to you should be a huge boon, yeah i think it justifies the price.

I think the Line 6 modelling sounds better. The only thing interesting on the G9.2tt to me is the Z-pedal for some unusual expression pedal control of delays and modulation.

how do you intend to use the pedal? straight to pa? or going into the efx return of the amp? i won't recommend running it straight into the amp though cuz that's usually the cause of 'bad tone' from many reviews. if u were to try the pedals out, ask them to plug it into a pa system instead of a guitar amp. these pedals are meant to be used like this.

not necessarily. it's just that the mfx is already a preamp. putting 2 preamps [your amp also has a preamp] together just isn't that 'right'. it could sound good straight into the amp, it's just not the 'normal' way of using a mfx.

hey guys i was wondering if i get the zoom, will it work with my solid state amp? i mean will my amp be able to reproduce the sound of the tube since its not a tube amp

i chose zoom cos i play muse too and the effects on board will come in handy.

THANKS AGAIN TO THOSE WHO REPLIED!

Imho, Line6 > Zoom.

I use both single pedals and I have a line6 X3Live rig when i need to run direct.. I also have/in the process of building my M9 rig.. which will have the m9 and a tech21 liverpool to run direct with.

The X3Live is great. I've run both into amps (tube and solidstate) and right into PA systems. I usually run to both at the same time.. straight to FOH and to an amp for stage volume.

The X3L was used in the indoor stadium.. Sounded great through the FOH. Had a JCM800 on stage just for stage volume..

But bear in mind that, with these line6 MFX. you need to spend time to craft your presets. prepare to spend hours with the X3L and gearbox on your mac/pc.

To add on...

Hold off the purchase for awhile, because something very exciting from Line6 is going to be released pretty soon.

do that mean i can plug it into a cabinet without an amp head?

no. u still need a power amp. it's a long story about how amps work. i'd suggest you wiki or google it.
