Line 6 Pod Studio

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Line 6 Pod Studio GX or any other models from the line because I am considering getting one for practice and do some simple recording at places or times when I can't use an amp. How is the Pod Studio in these kind of situations where I just use the laptop as an interface for recording and practice using either speakers or headphones? I do think that it's cool to record my own backing track and maybe even bass lines then add some lead over it to practice. I did do some research on the web but what I really get some opinions from you guys.

Also, does anyone know how much the GX goes for during City Music Sales? Thanks!

I just looked at the Zoom G1u which can be connected to a laptop for recording and even has looping functions and drum machine making it more attractive.. Does the Line 6 Pod Studio have these functions? I can't really find any information on this.

Anyone has experience with either one? How are latency issues on them?

i know the the line6 stuff comes with this program, the guy over at city music showed me it's actually pretty awesome, loop definitely, drum machine gotta get the better ux models to control it with the keyboard thingy thats wht the guy told me..
gx im not sure how many guitar port it has but i know the ux 1 either has 1 or 2 + a mic input .. so basically the towards the higher end side u have everything.. but from my knowledge after sale price of gx is around 140 and yea over comp speakers or headphones,
haha honestly im also considering getting the gx.. but with that said my comp speakers arent exactly those very awesome 300-500 speakers

Thanks for answering so fast imkeith! Could you point out where it says that the Pod Studio GX can be used as a looping device? I can't find anything about it on the web after researching... Thanks!
