Hey guys, just wanted to ask what you guys are all using.,

the stinking taylor deluxe hardshell case is sooo heavy! and with the latch on the bottom it's rly hard to stand it on the ground heh.

thinking of picking up a MONO case or a TRIC case to use to take my guitar around.

Just need decent protection for it, and not too heavy.

any comments or recommendations?

I am using TRIC, seems alright I suppose. Pretty light and seems well protected.

aye, my only problem with it is that..

it doesnt have much storage space. and.. when the guitar case takes impact, the guitar will shake, the tuners will smash into that part near the headstock and the material there will crack... heh.

Wanted to get a mono.(Still haven't) but the price is killer man. but overall it's features make it quite worthwhile IMO.

No pain no gain. Seriously man, I don't even trust my mono case anymore. Put a darn scratch on my CU24. Heart ache. Just stick to the hardshell, bear with it. IMHO =)

i have a deluxe rockbag for my electric and it's not holding up too well.. heh.

my other concern with the hardshell is that i cant stand it on the floor cause it has a latch on the bottom... heh

how did the scratch occur? i also have a mono case, might be helpful to know how and to avoid it.

Honestly don't know. But yes, I noticed the scratch a day or two after having put my guitar in the case. Didn't really even bring it around. The most I did was carry it to see what it felt like carrying with the guitar. VERY sure it wasn't there before. It's not like a HUGE scratch, but when your a poor man like me, who spent his life savings on a dream guitar, even the sight of dust on it makes my stomach churn.

yes Just my luck maybe, but I'm officially washing my hands off softcases. (Somewhere out there a gang of cabbies are celebrating).
