Licenses Required for holding gigs

Hi all, anyone knows all the licenses required and where to get them for holding a gig open to public. Need all the info i can get. thanks ple.

Normally there are two types of licences for public entertainment. One by MDA and the other by Police. Check out their respective website. There are others that do not reqire permit, so what is your gig about and who is the organizer? Maybe you fall into the category that licence is not necessary.

dude, i'm not talking about personal licenses, i'm talking about public licences for gig organisers, not performers. lolx.

i'm not from any organisation, few friends and i are just oganising this free gig for experience. it's for about 5 to 6 bands doing originals only. it'll be held at sentosa palawan beach. i've already asked about the arts entertainment licensce from the mda, will check abt the police one. i was also told a license is required for performers under 17 or something, from the ministry of manpower i heard. not too sure about this one, any idea? are there any other licences required? thanks HeartRockSingapore, wat licenses do u usually need for your gigs?

Hi Dric,

this palawan beach thing, is it a pub or something? If so, then you are affected by employment rules. What you are doing does not need PELU, MDA would suffice because you are doing it for fun sake and not to make money or entertain the public.

I never had to apply for licences because I orgarnize gigs under the winigs of PA and NAC.

hey man, no it will be held on the beach itself. not any pub or anything. it will be solely under us organisers. and ofcourse sentosa.
