let's say, you bought a guitar for 50% off during a sale. subsequently, when you brought it home, you realized it's not the latest version but the original price didn't reflect that.

what are you going to do about it?
 
If it was a stock clearance sale I would kinda expect it. And I don't think stores would entertain returns/refunds. In terms of original price reflecting the version I think it would be an issue only if the new version was also being sold in store at the same time, otherwise the 50% discount is there to clear the old version so the shop can bring the new version in with the new order.

I could always sell it like those dodgy SL sale resellers in the other thread. :p
 
I think you can't do much about it. Blame the one that doesnt state it is not the latest version. But don't flame it here and there. Make sure ask officials properly before-hand.
