Just need some collective wisdom on this matter... It may have been asked before, but I could not find it from the search function.
Ok. Here's the situation.
I used to keep my 3 guitars all in their cases. This is definitely the best way to keep guitars. But... I began to realise that I only played the guitar in the top case (yes I am that lazy).
So I got myself a 3-guitar stand a few weeks ago, and viola, I switch around guitars very frequently: using the Strat to lay down a rhythm and then switch to my humbucker-equipped guitar to lay a solo over it. Very nice. I also saved a lot of space as the cases all are now packed up in the storeroom...
But... I am wondering is there a better way? Hang from the headstock like in the shops? Using stands that have no neck support (therefore no neck strain)? Or am I plain insane for keeping guitars out in the open 24/7?
