I am looking for a Larrivee guitar in singapore. Heard that its a canadian made guitar. Is there anyway I can buy it? :o

yup Ranking Sports!! They are the authorized dealer not long ago. So they are selling the guitars at introductory price, so go get one quick. I've tried the guitars. The sound is impressive and good playability, finishes is good also. Many pp says its sound is in between a Taylor(more treble) and a Martin(more bass). But the price and the quality is much lower. A good buy!!

oops... sorry. i meant, given the good quality, at this low price, Larrivee is a good buy.

I tried the lower end, but all solid wood construction @ $1800! with clear pickguard. The sales person willing to sell at $1300. Not sure whether this offer is still valid. Unplugged sound is very good. When plugged in, the natural sound of the guitar a bit distorted. Maybe is the amp problem, or the B-band pick up. not sure..

I tried the higher end, @ $2600 (the most expensive Larrivee they have in store at that time). They offer me $2300, again not sure if the offer still valid. The sound is amazingly loud and balance.

I tried Taylor 100, 200, 300, 500 and some collection series. The playability, neck, action... i love them, but 300 series is already $2.8k with pickup (if i'm not wrong). And the sound that impressed me was ard the 400 series (w pickup)and above, which was >$3.5k (if i'm not wrong). Way far beyond my reach.

I look for high "performance/price", so i'd recommend a Larrive. In my opinion, the lower end Larrivee mentioned is already a very good quality guitar. Try it out.

I kinda prefer taylors 500 and up...not that i am rich..but i feel the lower models dosent live up to its repute.. was shopping ard for a taylor...theres one very nice 714 model tat plays superb and ard 3k++, almost bought it..but i hesitated and shopped around...then i found moi Larry...

i found the larry more 'earthy' sounding, which suits my playing style better and that 714 'crystalline', very nice too but i cant imagine myself playing guitar 'whackstyle' on that
:D
