Lamb of God going to Australia - why no Singapore?

When Willie Adler asked Kerry King how was the Slayer show for 'Christ Illusion Tour' in Singapore a few years back, Kerry said they're never coming back here again. There was a censorship issue of lyrics in songs they were allowed and not allowed to sing.

Censorship, not copyright.

They were told not to play 'Cult' and 'Jihad' due to its lyrical content.

If you're one of the pioneers of trash metal and have played countless shows all over the world, really you don't have to put up with bullshit like this from some little island off the far east because some dude in a governing body has difficulty understanding metaphors in Slayer lyrics and deemed it offensive for the fans that paid to see them.

Its a Slayer show for crying out loud.

Think profit wise. Metal in Singapore? It's sad as hell. All the effort, all the blood and the sweat, it all amounts to what? A small show that makes everyone in the show happy. Big deal, the profit doesn't multiply based on how happy everyone is. So what's the point? I've already given up on even hoping to see big metal acts play here.

Then let's think from the perspective of the band, as someone said above. Censorship, why should I come all the way to some tiny little island just to be told what to do? Who cares about PR here? The fanbase is just so small that it's expendable. I've given up hope on metal in Singapore. You want metal, you take yourselves out of here. Impiety style.

As much as I'd love to agree with you, the number of metal acts in this country has risen over the past few years. Megadeth, Dream Theater, Heaven and Hell and Slayer have all come down. Sadly it was during my field camp time. If it's a more current type of metal you are interested in like Lamb or A7X or whatever it is kids listen to nowadays, then it's probably a bit of a bigger problem.

A7X is not metal. I know the number of metal acts coming here have risen, but a whole lot of them aren't coming here again. I got the opportunity to spoke to Malevolent Creation after their gig here, they told me "First time we're playing here, and the last time too!" I missed GRAVE, and SLAYER. I'm still sore about it.
