Korg Trinity Problem

hi all,

Hope somone can help.

Recently inherited an old trinity. somehow the sounds are gone and am left with only a single piano sound on all presets. i understand that you can load up the factory default sounds via the 3.5" disk drive. however, the said drive does not seem to be working. in any event, i don't have the diskette anymore. i did download the default from Korg's website but am unable to load it onto the trinity via 3.5" anyways. is there a way to load it onto the trinity via Midi instead?

Thanks all! cheers

go to www.korgforums.com
and you can find out that korg trinity
floppy drive is a common PC floppy drive,
you can easily replace it.

sad to say the only way to factory reset
is via the disk drive.

www.route66studios.com sells obsolete synth
disk drive. check it out !

another option is to use korg trinity rack version TR rack
emagic soundiver editor

thanks guys.

yep i did reset the keybrd using the method listed, however, after i did that, the sound banks got wiped out and all i had was a single digital piano sound.

so my problem was restoring the sounds back to the trinity.

i managed to dig up an old 3.5" disk drive from SL today for $8. stripped the trinity and removed the old drive which was faulty, and plugged in the new one i bought today. loaded the disk and all presets were loaded back up. works like a charm now.

someone on Korg forums also intro a software called Trinitro v3.8a. it allows you to send factory presets via MIDI. so i can now store my PCG and SNG files on my computer and reload the factory settings via MIDI with Trinitro. Think it's a software written for all Trinity and Triton systems.

should have waited. shucks. but anyways, point is keybrd's fine now!

Thanks again for the help! cheers

is this true ?

I have EXACTLY the same problem my friend.
And I was very excited to see you fix it
My question is
Is to do without the disk only by trinitro.exe, why to me as the "Trinity can not respond"
Or even need the floppy? this was the solution?

thank you
