Korg Pandora P4XD

This might have been asked before,.but lemme ask again,....

is this any good? (Korg Pandora P4XD) anyone using it?
any feedback would be appreicated,..

I have the P4XD and I use it for home practice / putting down ideas etc. It's obviously not a 'live performance' kind of effect, and the effect parameters are quite shallow indeed as far as 'tweakability' is concerned.

That being said, the sound quality is very good, it does not market itself as an uncoloured practice tool like the Cafe Walter, but despite the sound being processed, it is a good sort of processing.

Lots of usable tones and most importantly portable and easy to use. Great for bedroom practice before you sleep. Quick tip...get a 4.5v adapter if you're using it a lot. The old Sony MD and Discman ones work just fine.

i was thinking of using as:

bassguitar---->|Korgpandora|
ipod----------->|Korgpandora|---->headphone

so that I can play along,... is this setup ok?

I'm going down later to peace centre to get one,..

No problem. That's what I do as well to learn songs.

the PX4D is currently my best friend (silent practice, so my baby won't cry he he... + it accomodates BASS as well, THUMBS UP!!)

the use of an Ibanez Tubescreamer is an indication that the drive settings are a little lacking but nevertheless, substantial. the PX4D is everything a practice addict needs- ample EQ options, bass backing, rhythm backing, metronome, modulation, delay, reverb... etc.

i wasn't into any Pandora units before simply because the manufacturer has excluded a MIDRANGE control but its presence here got me interested.

is it true that you can cancell the bass sound on the cd player/ipod on the pandora and then play along?

to be clear,.....like entersandman (for example),.
it plays on my ipod conected to the pandora,. i can cancel the bass? or mute the bass sound of the song so that I can play on along?

just a side note,

any unit cancelling the bass of the song would more be like a roll off. Once a song is mixed down to it's full mix nothing can be done to any individual tracks without affecting the whole track itself.

i haven't used the pandora before though ..
