My band (female singer, male drummer and me, male rhythm guitarist) is currently looking for a new bassist to complete the line-up cos our previous bassist just left the band to focus on other commitments. At the same time, we are looking for a keyboardist (female preferred) to expand our sound.
A bit of info about us; we have a few original songs and still working on them and hopefully we can release an EP. After numerous jamming sessions, subconsciously, we are making dark-sounding songs which were rather unintentional but somehow or rather, we are comfortable with our new-found direction. We do play covers as well, just for fun and to tighten up the band. We are not a technically-inclined band but rather, we are more focused on songwriting and to create mood for the songs.
In short, all of us are from totally different musical backgrounds and we are using our own personal influences and creativity to make pop songs with a dark edge to them.
Some rough ideas on what we listen to; Garbage, Cranberries, Cardigans, No Doubt, Portishead, Evanescence, Nirvana, Joy Division and some Gothic Metal stuffs.
We do things based on democracy, like to share ideas and experiment. We are pretty much a bunch of easy-going people. And please, leave your egos and attitude somewhere else if you are interested to join us. We do this just for the love of music, nothing more, nothing less.
