Hi there,
We are a newly formed band who wanna play nu-disco / soulful house songs that most people associate with DJs, live and with a real horn section.
We already have a singer, a drummer, a bassist, a guitarist, and a 3 piece horn section, and DESPERATELY need a keyboardist to complete us.
You would ideally be a soul / funk-oriented keyboardist, who likes disco / soulful house / nu-disco music, who doesn't have a diva attitude, and gets what this project is all about (not about showing off, but getting people to dance, and playing live music in a fresh way).
We have a number of original tracks we are concurrently working on, though we will play only covers (non-mainstream, soul/funk/disco-oriented) for the meantime to gel. The aim is to play in places like Blu Jaz, Home Club, the Vault etc.

We don't think there are many live bands who do this sorta music, that there's a real niche to be filled, and that this is a unique opportunity to do something original, fresh and musically interesting. To be honest, we aren't sure if this will succeed, because there is very little precedent and it is logistically challenging, but life is too short to not give this a shot.
