kent armstrong retailers

the ones at GC are Sky pickups designed by Kent Armstrong. however, you could ask Kelvin to get them for you. the reason why he doesnt sell the real deals is because there isnt a big demand for them.

just hope that he isnt too busy. fingers crossed

the pickups you see on Http://www.kentarmstrong.com are no different from the Sky pickups. It's just a different packaging and you pay US prices if you buy them from WD. I've installed so many of those and I think they are all fine pickups. Remember if the guitar itself doesn't cut it, its unlikely a pickup change can do much for your tone. Improve yes, but a lean sounding guitar won't sound fat even if you put in a humbucker.

these days mass produced pickups (duncans, dimarzios etc) are all wound by computer controlled machines and it really doesn't matter anymore where a pickup is made. Those sky pickups are unbeatable value and the product descriptions on the website are actually quite reliable.

Personally I think SKY pickup are pretty decent, although they are made in Korea. i had my stock Epip std pickups changed, both neck n bridge and it had a great improvement. I would recommend this brand if u r looking for other alternative instead of SD or DM. Btw Kelvin's service are pretty good too.
