Hi all, it's a common trend to leave our springs attached and stretched on our pedals, out of laziness more than anything else probably. :lol: This is usually the case when our pedals are attached to the bass drum at home or in the studio.
But do take note that we should not allow the springs to be stretched over prolonged periods of time. There is a material phenomenon known as "creep deformation" which would permanently deform the spring. The result is spring tension weakening which causes a slower pedal response.
To keep your pedals responsive for as long as possible, do take the time to disattach the spring once playing is over. 8)
