hey people...may i know what scales can be joined?? i mean..those simple ones....eg.minor,major....pentatonic etc

Scales follows Chord progressions ... for example ... if you play a |F |G | ... you use a Cmaj scale .... which makes it an F Lydian scale.

You can also play a F Ionian Scale on the duration of F chord ... and then change to a G ionian or C Ionian at the duration of the G chord. This will give you a transpositional effect ....

Dm7 - G7 ... use C maj Scale ... this will make a D Dorian. You can also use a Ab Super Locrain for the G7 ... makes it sound more colourful.

If you wanna know more ... feel free to PM me. :)

C-major > C D E F G A B C
A-minor > A B C D E F G

same notes.

correct me if i'm wrong but a relative minor scale is 3 steps down from the relative major scale. as in they have the same notes.
C>B>Bb>A -> 3 steps.

haha i dont know i kinda figured it out myself or smt. not strong in theory or anything.

Guitarman78: haha can you like teach me more? i dont understand any of what you're saying :oops:

i think what he meant is the mode? different modes correspond to different keys @ different positions of the fretboards..
