roland/boss also has something similar to the hand clapper. I ever saw it at tampines cash converter 2-3 yrs back.

never try the pedal before. But think i shud have played something similar sounding on a roland guitar synth. Must go and dig out the guitar synth and play around again. The sound is quite artificial from my memory. It seem like some of the mandarin songs back in the 70s/80s had the type of hand clap in their songs.

yah....... handclapper, think roland used to have this entire series of electronic percussion pads. wanted to get some on ebay, but well as usual prices went beyond my means !

on another note......cashconverters used to have some pedals years back (2001 ?) but recently (may?) i went on cashconverters spree over singapore and could only find a ibanez tonelok series distortion or something, which wasn't cheap either !

well i used to see some good stuff too.. there's this digitech rack still for sale at jurong cash converters i think... the staff told me everyweek this uncle will come n buy the pedals.. got to get there before the uncle comes.. heheh..

interesting, what exactly does the thriller do? Pearl effect seem like quite popular with vintage pedals collector. You into pearl stuff?

:lol: Good question there, first I must find a guitar to try that on ever since I switched to bass and my old guitar isn't here with me at the moment. It is more of a fad I think, but I'm more of a clean, overdriven kinda' player.

I started collecting Pearl stuffs a few years back, not really rushing into it, just taking my time to look for a good deal (kinda' tough nowadays). And I only got most of the Sound Spice series, not the Sound Choice which features two stompswitch.

Let me see what I got: Flanger, Chorus, Phaser, Compressor, Overdrive, Distortion, Analog Delay, Graphic Equalizer, Noise Suppressor & Thriller.

Missing the Octaver and Parametric EQ and I think I'm done.

IMHO, only the Overdrive is wicked. The rest are so so.
