It's really hard to imitate him .. which is what makes him a legend. Another bassist that is very much Jaco influenced is Richard Bona. Check out his 3 solo albums, as well as the albums which he played bass on.. etc. Word of Mouth Revisited, Larry Coryell - Spaces Revisited, Joe Zawinul - World Tour, Kazumi Watanabe - Mo Bop. :lol:

Jaco is a one off. i enjoy his music tremendously & that's part of the reason i have a bass in addition to the many guitars as its companion 8) to think that the chap accomplished most of those materials fretless, never ceased to humble my efforts... these days, i deem the bass as necessary, it makes me think differently. thanks Jaco... RIP
