looks like youtube's downsampling really affected the artifacting in the video.. what kind of compression did you use? also audio sounds really good. how did you mic it up?

hi khidir, yes youtube has "3 levels" of compression
the standard quality = blah.
the "high quality" = the way it should be. but I'm getting a "mono" audio from this.
but if you use the keepvid version mp4 download, you get back 125kbps mp3 quality. better playback anyway from your pc.

the videocam captures a 1440x1080 15mbps video and 48khz 16bit 5.1 surround audio.
as you can see the distance I'm standing about 4 metres away from the stage.
I had a Zoom H4 recorder set to record at 16bit 48khz also , right infront of the stage as you may see a tripod in the video infront. thats it.

video : 1440x1080 15mbps AVCHD sony codec > 640x360 1200kbps DivX codec with progressive scanning de-interlace.

audio : the vcam's audio (Front L/R , Center , Back L/R.wav) most parts of it clipped. thats what sucks about this vidcam, it's not meant for concerts , not even acoustic sets. so I only took the channels that didn't clip much + process declipping ,and took the H4 stereo.wav to mix together , make it more "full" sounding and do a basic master and that's about it. but I saved it as 128kbps, so the youtube version's highs will have that swishy sound heheh. my bad.

ah I just noticed the higher quality option, was watching it on 'standard quality'...and it looks much better. Too dark, but lighting wasn't conducive I guess. What kind of camera is it?
also I love the lens flare touches, haha

oh by the way,before i start to disappoint you guys, I accidentally forgot to press the record button on the H4 for the last band - my writes, so in case you heard the vidcam's audio (badly clipped/distortion) and wondering what went wrong.

I was recording postbox tambourines/claps @ riverwalk mall's loading bay that night after, so my 8gb SDcard was reserved for layer recording, was using my 2GB SD card for the live set. scared no space. my bad.
