anybody got anything from ishibashi before?

would like to get a bass from there since the prices for value here are wayy high and the variety is pretty limited for basses.

CrispyEgg, I bought a few items from ishibashi before.

service is not bad, although the engrish a bit powderful. but enough to understand what they are talking about.

agreed the bass variety sucks and prices are high.

ordered a jap fender tele from them too..the international dept sales rep has good command of written english (his name is hiroaki i think)..great experience, item arrived in 2 days wrapped like a mummy and in perfect condition..rather inexpensive too..

I took a look at the site and while the jap models are cheap (surprise surprise) the US made stuff was expensive. All I'm saying is check it out properly before taking the leap with your credit card.....

Its the same as the US dude, US products are cheaper there but Japanese products are rather expensive. Helps if the product you're selling is crafted in your own country, saves shipping costs, insurance, various other miscelleanous costs, not to mention taxes.

yeah i did the order on sat, was expecting it on tues but imagine my surprise and delight when i saw it in my bedroom on monday hahaha...yeah email the international sales email thing that you see on the front page of ishibashi-music.com..

They ship it via japanese EMS. Your bass will come in a box in a speedpost van And yes, payment is via CC.

For more choices, you can also order from rakuten.co.jp as well. they featured more variety of basses from japanese music store including ishibashi.

oops sorry man, you can key in the instrument name using the search option. here's an example:

i actually helped my colleague once to order a fender japan jazz bass thru rakuten. also, you need to have a vpost account which provide a japan address for the instrument to be delivered to. anyway, a few more steps is required before the delivery so if anyone dun mind going thru all these, i be gladly to offer some advices. it's just another alternative other than ishibashi (which i think is more easier and faster but less choices. btw, i purchased a tele and a mustang from them before :wink: )
