You might need to be a little more specific on the brands.

Machine Heads"

More expensive and popular brands for a Les Paul electronic upgrade would be:

Switchcraft (switches, input jack)
CTS (pots)
Kluson, Grovers etc (Machine Heads)

If your $120 bucks include a branded pick-up upgrade (like those Seymour Duncans, DiMarzio etc) then it seems like a pretty good deal!

how much would 4 knobs (metal) and 2 concentric pots (http://www.warmoth.com/Guitar/Hardware/pots.htm) cost? Does CTS make those type of pots?

er... shd be normal stuffs that DAVIS provide... anyway the cost of the pups not included inside...
