Insides as in.. the pickup routing area under the pick guard. I just opened it up to kaypo and it's very very very dirty. Stupid question but.. will cleaning it affect tone/resale value of the guitar?

While I'm at it.. The mysterious DiMarzio pickup I have in my guitar has this H 8 marking on it. Pictures later. Says DIMARZIO PICKUPS MADE IN USA and below there's this H 8, and on top theres an F. Any idea what pickup this is? And the wonderful previous owner also changed the tone pot to this 2 level one, no wonder there's a click when the tone's at 5...

should not be a problem lah.. but dont need clean i think... its the wood inside.. i open up before.. the jack hole..full of white powder time to time..

u can clean the body up. no probs.

no idea about the dimarzio. ur pot should be a fender TBX pot. u can google to find out more about the pot.

All right! Was very dirty at the knob location, must have been the oil the prev owner sprayed for the pots...
