I might be wrong there but my fren knows the organiser lah. He was telling me abt this line-up. I tot it was weird too... but hey, there are still loads of drummers out there. And they might be frens of Portnoy. With this line-up, everyone is happy...

I heard there were sightings of Santriani at Swee Lee before when he comes to visit his in-laws. But no one recognises him cuz he ain't wearing his trademark shades. He's decked out in berms, glasses and a hat. Hahhaa

Well G3 started off with Satriani, Vai and Eric Johnson playing together on the same stage. Something like, offer fans something big. I'm sure you can find G3 dvds around in music stores. Check them out, it's really really cool.

yea man, g3 is really really great man. its watching a few of their dvd's that inspired me to pick up a guitar. go check it out.....u'll be inspired....lol...except maybe the abusiveness of malmsteem to his guitars.....

I do not believe G3 will be stopping by. If you were to read the official news on Vai.com and the forums, the system overlord and site admin has stated that the G3 with John Petrucci, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai is a JAPAN ONLY stop. Furthermore, Steve Vai has his North American leg beginning after G3, Petrucci has the Dream Theatre leg to tend to. Joe on the other hand will be headed to India.

Hopefully he will be dropping by Singapore soon. It was up on the LAMC Productions website a few days ago that Joe may be stopping by in May, but it was recently taken off. Let's hold our breath for this one.
