i've heard the sound samples on the webby. sounds sweet! is it a good choice?

personal choice. i think its only real competitor would be the ibanez pd-7 for the price range and function. go try both out and see which you prefer.

My friend uses a Digitech Bass Driver.
It creates rich overdrive sounds and gives the option of emulating a wide range of bass overdrive distortions sounds like for example the SVT Grind, Boss ODB-3 and Pro-Co RAT .

I found it to be a bit too fuzzy/harsh for my taste... it would probably be better if you modded it, but I sold it and got an OD-3 instead and never looked back.

i think a big muff sounds nicer.. thats my personal opinion
i think it's a diff application. muff is crazy fuzz goodness but not an overdrive at all... i've got a lil big muff and even with the sustain all the way down it still is too fuzzy for overdriven tones.

I owned a Boss Bass Overdrive once, and found that it thinned out the sound too much....killed some of the warmth in my tone, so I ended up swapping it with my friend's Sovtek Big Muff.

Different sound, possibly different application, but warmer and more organic sounding. Ultimately, it's still down to personal taste.

Go and try one out, and you'll know what you think about it.
